(Richmond)- Virginia State Police troopers are now equipped with a drug that can save someone from dying. The Narcan spray is an opioid antagonist that can revive someone during an opioid overdose. Other law enforcement officers in the state already carry the drug. The purchase of the dispensers was made possible through a Behavioral Health and Developmental Services grant.
