Traffic Stop in Stafford Yields Marijuana and Concealed Firearm

(Stafford)- From the Stafford Sheriff’s Office:

Deputies with the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office arrested a suspect on Wednesday after a traffic stop in the southern end of the county led to the discovery of marijuana and a concealed firearm on the suspect.
On May 30, 2018, at approximately 3:30 p.m., Sgt. Jason Kreider initiated a traffic stop of a vehicle in the area of Powell Lane and Warrenton Road. The vehicle’s registration did not match the description of the vehicle.
The suspect was identified as Jarette Stephan Hagler, 18, of Woodbridge. Sgt. Kreider noticed the suspect was visibly shaking and mumbling. There was also a plastic grocery bag sticking out of his pants pocket. He admitted to having a small amount of marijuana in his pocket. A search of the suspect’s person also revealed a concealed firearm in his jacket pocket.
Hagler was incarcerated at the Rappahannock Regional Jail without bond. He is charged with carrying a concealed weapon without a permit, possession of marijuana, no driver’s license, and improper display of tags.
