Tornado Confirmed For Charles County

(Charles County, MD)- Downed trees and property damage are proof of a rare weather event that passed through the area. The National Weather Service says a tornado touched down in Charles County Saturday. The EF-1 tornado had winds of 90-miles an hour and lasted more than eight miles but no one was hurt. The NWS says tornadoes are rare in February, and this was just the fourth February tornado in the state since 1950.
