(Spotsylvania)- It’s the first day of school for every school that hasn’t gone back until now. That’s about 50-thousand students in the Fredericksburg area. A tradition continues in Spotsylvania. Superintendent Scott Baker and his staff will visit every county school at some point today on the first day. Dr. Baker tells us, “On the first day, I can’t think of a more important place to be.” He says he and his staff are there to provide leadership and support to schools and teachers. Dr Baker says it’s not just a symbolic visit. He says they’ve been able to fix some problems, like AC problems, on the first day.
