Stolen Mail From Idelwild

(Fredericksburg)- Info2Go- Fredericksburg Police say they’ve received reports from Idlewild residents that their mail has been stolen. One resident reported the suspect as a black male between the ages of 30 and 32. The suspect was last seen getting into a red vehicle with New Jersey license plates.

This investigation is ongoing at this time. If you have any information about the recent spree of mail larcenies, please contact the Fredericksburg Police Department immediately at 540-373-3122.

1400 block Graham Drive, 8/09, 6:30 a.m. A City resident reported that someone went through her outgoing mail and removed a personal check which was written in the amount of over

$100.00. There are no suspects or witnesses at this time.

1100 block Pickett Street, 8/11, 12:00 p.m. A City resident reported that his mail was delivered to another City resident and once it was returned to him by that resident, the contents inside, which included a check for several hundreds of dollars, was missing. There are no suspects or witnesses at this time.

1100 block Hoke Lane, 8/11, 10:30 a.m. A City resident reported that three birthday cards were taken from her mailbox which contained one gift card per birthday card. There are no suspects or witnesses at this time.

1200 block Walker Drive, 8/11, 10:00 a.m. A City resident reported a letter that she had placed in her mailbox in a post office envelope had been removed from the box. The resident also received a piece of opened mail which belonged to another Idlewild resident in her mailbox. There are no suspects or witnesses at this time.

1300 block Saunders Drive, 8/10, 10:00 a.m. A City resident reported that she had business checks mailed to her home which were taken from her residence. There are no suspects or witnesses at this time.

1200 block Wright Court, 8/18, 12:45 p.m. A City resident reported that an unknown male was seen removing an envelope containing a check from her mailbox. The resident reported the male hid the envelope containing the check and then replaced it with another piece of paper he removed from his pocket.

1000 block Wright Court, 8/19, 4:19 p.m. A City resident reported that she put a package on her front porch to be mailed out and was later notified by a neighbor that her package was at his house and all the contents of her package had been taken. There are no suspects or witnesses at this time.

1200 block Pickett Circle, 8/22, 4:15 p.m. A City resident reported that a package containing jewelry was taken from her residence and that there was mail for a different Idlewild address where her packages are usually placed. There are no suspects or witnesses.
