(DC)- A new “Washington Post” poll shows nine out of ten Native Americans don’t find the term “Redskins” offensive. The newspaper reached out to over 500 people in every state and DC. Only nine-percent were offended by the term. Some have even said they take the nickname as a point of pride. The results match the findings of a 2004 Annenberg poll, showing popular opinion hasn’t changed, despite the increased calls to change the name Redskins.
