(Prince William County)- A two-alarm fire destroyed an apartment building in Lake Ridge late last night. Flames could be seen as far away as Old Bridge Road. Crews were called to the 3800 block of Meandering Way in the Dominion Middle Ridge complex off Smoketown Road after 11 p.m.
A spokesman for the Occoquan-Woodbridge-Lorton Volunteer Fire Department said no residents were hurt, but one firefighter did suffer a minor injury battling the flames, said Rebecca Barnes, spokeswoman for the Occoquan-Woodbridge-Lorton Volunteer Fire Department.
Neighbors in the complex said the clubhouse was set up as a temporary shelter for displaced residents and the Red Cross had been called in to help.
