General Joseph Dunford praised Wittman for his extensive support of wounded warriors and his contributions to ensuring the readiness and care of active duty Marines and their families. During the ceremony at the Home of the Commandants in DC, General Dunford praised Wittman for what he’s done for wounded warriors behind the scenes. “It hasn’t been with fanfare, it’s been because of his compassionate leadership.” Dunford said Honorary Marine is earned.
