Somcbody has a winning lottery ticket that is set to expire soon. A lucky winner purchased a ticket for the Cash 5 night drawing at a 7-11 in Manassas on January 12th The Virginia Lottery says the ticket turned out to be a $100,000 winner, but no one has come forward to claim the prize. In Virginia, lottery tickets expire 180 days after the drawing. The $100,000-winning ticket is set to expire July 11. The winner has until the close of business the next business day – July 13 – to claim the prize. The unclaimed prize money goes to Virginia’s which is used to help education funds in the commonwealth, such as upgrading technology in schools and supplementing teacher retirement.
