They weren’t on the ground for long, but two tornadoes that ripped through southern Maryland this weekend left behind miles of damage. The two EF-1 tornadoes that touched down Saturday night had winds that hit 90 miles an hour and covered more than 18 miles. The National Weather Service says the first one hit in southern Charles County and lasted for eight minutes. The second tornado touched down for about 35 minutes in St. Mary’s County.
