(Fredericksburg)- “Our Community Salutes” is Saturday at UMW. It’s a program for the community to thank and give a send off to high school grads who have decided to enlist in the military. There are 105 this year. Nancy Kearney with Blue Star Mothers of Fredericksburg says your attendance is meaningful to the enlistees. “It’s not a high school event, it’s a community event,” she said. “Our community Salutes” at 2 at DoddAudiorium at UMW. First District Congressman Rob Wittman is the keynote speaker. A local veteran who landed on Normandy Beach will also talk to the enlistees. It begins at 2. Everyone is welcome.
